The Northwest Missouri Model A Club is sponsoring this captivating historical event about the memorable adventures of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker on Saturday, May 24 starting at 10 am.
Leaving their mark in Platte County’s history earns this duo recognition in the Platte County 175th Anniversary. The fun begins at Zona Rosa Improv Theater with a surprise gathering of members from the Barrow and Parker families. Follow the life of Bonnie & Clyde through the family accounts and candid personal memories.
Enjoy a fashion show of the dress from that era and participate in the road tour around Platte County in the tracks of Bonnie & Clyde and their infamous shoot out at the Red Crown Tavern and Motel.
In 1933, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the Red Crown Tavern and Tourist Court to engage Bonnie & Clyde and their gang. They were joined by members of Platte County Sheriff’s office and Missouri Highway Patrol. Weapons recovered from this incident are an important part of the artifacts to be shown on May 24.
